With an extensive catalog of health supplements and multivitamins, PureFormulas needed a strategy that would maximize their reach while maintaining profitability. Their Google Shopping campaigns were performing well, but they needed help to further optimize and expand without increasing costs. Additionally, they wanted to increase sales through Google Search Ads by focusing on highly relevant keywords and reaching more potential customers.

To help PureFormulas scale their Google Ads efforts and increase their online sales, we implemented a multi-pronged strategy tailored specifically for the health supplements industry:

  1. Feed-Only PMAX Campaign to Optimize Shopping Network Performance: For our Performance Max strategy, we start with one feed-only Asset Group per product category. This approach prioritizes Google Shopping, the top-performing network for conversions, enabling us to gather quality data on purchase-ready audiences. Dynamic Remarketing also allows us to display targeted ads to returning visitors. After each Asset Group achieves a strong conversion base, we gradually introduce additional assets to reach more networks—Search, Display, YouTube, and Discovery—capitalizing on high-quality conversion data to drive further growth.

  1. Category-Specific Segmentation for Higher ROAS With over 5,000 products, it was essential to break down PureFormulas' product catalog into specific categories like multivitamins, immune support, and protein supplements. By analyzing performance data, we identified the top-performing categories and focused the PMAX campaign on those with the highest conversion potential. Simultaneously, we used three-tiered shopping campaigns to manage bids for underperforming products, allowing us to minimize wasted ad spend while giving lower-performing items the chance to gain traction. This segmentation helped us maintain a high ROAS while increasing sales volume, ensuring that PureFormulas could scale without sacrificing profitability.

Search Ads for Targeted, High-Intent Keywords In addition to optimizing Google Shopping campaigns, we implemented Google Search Ads focused on high-intent keywords such as “best multivitamins” and “organic immune support supplements.” By targeting these specific search queries, we captured customers actively seeking health supplements and directed them to relevant product pages. We used custom landing pages tailored to different supplement categories, which improved relevance and conversion rates. We used audience signals and past purchase data to target customers likely to reorder their favorite products. We also created dynamic retargeting ads to re-engage visitors who had abandoned their shopping carts, offering them personalized ads for products they previously viewed. This strategy not only increased conversions from returning customers but also helped capture potential buyers who were close to completing their purchase, boosting overall sales.

  1. Promotional Campaigns for Seasonal Boosts Health supplements see increased demand during seasonal periods such as the New Year’s fitness rush and flu season. We worked closely with PureFormulas to create seasonal promotional campaigns, highlighting special offers on multivitamins, immunity boosters, and fitness supplements. By increasing bids for these products during peak demand periods, we maximized visibility and captured more customers when they were most likely to convert.
