Balancing visibility for a broad product range while maintaining a healthy return on ad spend (ROAS) requires a carefully crafted approach to digital marketing. Chic Jewelry needed to efficiently showcase its diverse catalog while driving profitable sales and maintaining a sustainable advertising budget.

WeAdU’s Strategy and Implementation


When WeAdU took over Chic Jewelry’s Google Ads account, we adopted our proven "Scale-Up Strategy," tailored for e-commerce businesses aiming to enhance their Google Ads performance. Our approach followed a structured and strategic method to maximize sales while refining ad spend effectively:

  1. Launch of a Feed-Only PMax Campaign
    Our initial step in Performance Max campaigns is to create a feed-only Asset Group for each product type, allowing us to focus on Google Shopping, the network that delivers the highest conversions. This setup helps us gain valuable data on high-intent audiences and use Dynamic Remarketing to reach past site visitors with relevant ads. Once we see a solid conversion rate within an Asset Group, we expand by adding more assets, opening access to broader networks like Search, Display, YouTube, and Discovery, and utilizing robust conversion data to optimize performance.
  2. Performance Monitoring and Analysis
    After launching the campaign, we closely monitored its performance, analyzing data weekly. With the help of conversion tracking and careful examination of product segments, we identified which categories, products, or brands performed well and which underperformed. Our benchmark for decisions was 500 clicks per segment, allowing us to make informed judgments on ROAS and profitability.
  3. Optimizing Segments for Better Performance
    To maximize ROAS, we progressively extracted underperforming product segments from the PMax campaign. Instead of discontinuing advertising for these products, we created separate Standard Shopping campaigns, fine-tuned to give these items a chance to improve. Each segment was assigned a priority-based structure:some text
    • High Priority Campaigns: With low bids, these campaigns filtered traffic to find the most relevant queries without consuming significant budget.
    • Medium Priority Campaigns: These campaigns picked up traffic excluded from the high-priority campaigns, aiming to capture profitable search terms.
    • Low Priority Campaigns: Operating on even more specific targeting, these campaigns handled any remaining relevant traffic.
  4. By setting up a structured system of campaigns, each product segment was given tailored attention, improving overall efficiency and giving every product the best opportunity to contribute positively to Chic Jewelry’s bottom line.

By consolidating the best-performing products within the PMax campaign and giving underperforming products a chance to thrive through dedicated shopping campaigns, we helped to optimize ROAS, drive more sales, and elevate their Google Ads strategy.
